Today’s Encouragement is Romans 8:25 ‘But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.’
Wait for it –
None of us likes to wait. We want it now. We want everything now!
Why does God ask us to wait? Well, I don’t have all the answers… and the answers I think I have… I sometimes learn are wrong! But God isn’t perturbed, I think He kinda gets a kick out of seeing us so confident in our assumptions about Him… like a patient, loving father watching his child pretending to be wise… yet He knows it’s just part of the learning process.
But I think, just my opinion, that God has a better sense of timing than we do. He knows when we need what. He wants us to have the best opportunity and the best blessings. As we grow in faith, we learn to trust His timing; we learn to wait in hope.
So, as we wait…
in hope…
with patience…
we learn faith…
Father, help us to wait, patiently, trustingly, hopefully, and confidently. You know what is best… what we need… and when we need it. We choose to trust… and to Wait, here, for You.
