Today’s Encouragement is Hebrews 11:6 NLT And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
Sincerely Seek Him –
Hebrews 11 has been called ‘the Faith chapter’, because it is the Bible’s most focused discussion of faith. And we cannot, it is impossible to, please God, without Faith.
Faith is briefly described here as, believing that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him. The Faith of others is also described in this entire chapter to help us understand this critical aspect of our relationship with God.
You may be asking, ‘Hey, we have already ‘found’ Jesus, why do we need to continue to sincerely seek Him?’
As in marriage, the wedding is just the beginning of the relationship. Ideally, the relationship continues for life just as God intends for our relationship with Him. And the growing, healthy marriage includes seeking… seeking to know more, understand each other, please, help, honor, respect, and Love each other. These all apply as well to our relationship with God.
We are the Bride of Christ! We seek Him, even though He is Ours already… because a relationship is an ongoing, living experience, not a one-time transaction. So, we continue to sincerely seek to know, understand, to please, help, honor, respect, and Love our Father God and our Lord Jesus, more and more.
Father, help us to continue to sincerely seek You, for the reward of a genuine, growing relationship with You.
