Today’s Encouragement is James 5:11 NLT We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy.
Full of Tenderness-
It is God’s work, His holiness, tenderness, and mercy, not ours.
Our response – is acceptance of His love or rejection.
His love is extended to us, like a handshake… and ours is the decision to take that hand, to accept what He has extended to us. We can choose to refuse, turn away, and ignore. Yet, He continues, all day long to reach out his arms to us! (Rom. 10:21)
We tend to focus on the negative. James mentions Job and we immediately think, ‘That poor man, he suffered so terribly!’ And he did! Yet, that’s not the full story… because the Lord was KIND to him in the end and restored everything to him double! Because God is “Full of Tenderness and Mercy”.
As you listen to this worship song, will you again – receive, accept, and remain within the Tenderness that He offers? His mercy-filled Love? It’s up to you. He extends His Tenderness, Mercy, and Love to us… always, never impatient, never tiring.
