Let God

Today’s Encouragement is Romans 12:2 (NLT) Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

 Let God –

Interesting how this is phrased… ‘let God’… We are each given free will, and we choose to either surrender that will to God (to Let God) or to retain control of our own will. Remember Jesus surrendering His own will to God in the garden the night he was arrested, “Not my will, but Yours, be done.” (Luke 22:42)

Notice also, that God does this transformation (it’s His work in us… not our work!) and He does this by changing our minds!  Even the ‘way that we think’… not only the thoughts but also the process – ‘the way’… And He does so in order that we can learn His good, pleasing, and perfect Will.  God desires us to Know His Will!  And only through our transformation can we come to this! 

The result of our transformation, when we Let God do His work in us, is that we learn to know God’s Will for us!

Father, we desire this transformation, for our minds to be renewed and reformed, in order that we will not be conformed to this world, but rather be transformed by You, to know Your Perfect Will.
