Today’s Encouragement is 1 John 5:4-5 NLT For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. [5] And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
Victory Through Our Faith –
Re-read this with me slowly, please…
-Every child of God – including you and me…
-Defeats this evil world – we might not realize it, might not feel like it… but God’s Word is true whether we ‘feel it’ or not!
-This Victory is achieved through Faith in Jesus.
– We can win the battle against the world (this evil world) only because we believe that Jesus is the Son of God (by Faith).
My brothers and sisters, we are, already, through our Faith in Jesus, the Victors! The Winners of this battle, an overwhelming victory! Romans 8:37 NLT “No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.”
And that’s not all! Revelation 2-3 reveals some of the amazing promises which are ours as Victors! See Rev. 2:7, 11, 17, 28, 3:5, 12, and 21.
Remember our identity is defined by Christ. It is not what we can see touch or sense now, it is not determined by how we feel! It comes only as we choose Faith in Him, repeatedly, consciously, and consistently. Placing all our Hope and Trust in Him… in Who He is, what He has done, and what He has promised us.
You are victorious! Are. Now. Already. Victorious. Through. Christ.
Father God, Thank You that You have already given us Victory over this world through our Faith! Help us to live out our faith now; to live in this Victory in Jesus.
