Show Me

Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 25:4-5 NLT Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.

Show Me –

In this psalm, David asks God to guide him.  He asks, ‘Show me, point out, lead me, teach me… because You are my God who saves me. I put all my hope in you, always.’

Too often we say, “I just don’t know what God wants me to do,” or, “I can’t find God’s will.” Or “God doesn’t speak to people today like He did ’back then.’”

God hasn’t changed, He hasn’t modified or even tweaked His ways, He is no less interested in us, nor does He love us any less than the people written of in the Bible.  He is the Same, Always! (Heb. 13:8)

Now in this psalm, David asks God for direction, just as we can ask Him today.  He needed God’s direction just as much as we do each day, and he trusted and expected God to respond to his prayer for direction.

Is it possible my friends, that we too can ask for, and receive, God’s direction, guidance, leading, and teaching… just as tangibly and as real today as His people did a thousand or ten thousand years ago?

God loves us beyond all measure; He most certainly wants to show, guide, lead, and teach His people whom He loves.  We simply need to ask, as David did… and then my friends… we need to Listen to Him! However He chooses to speak – it will always align perfectly with His Word.

Guide us, Lord our God, speak to us, however You choose, and Lord, please, attune our ears to hear You!  “For You are the God who saves.”

To You O Lord
