Today’s Encouragement is Ephesians 2:4-5 NLT But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!
But God –
These two words change everything!
Things may be bad right now… But God!
Consider the context of these words from this scripture…
We were dead (v1), living like the world (v2), following our sinful nature (3), BUT GOD (v4) (and everything changes!) Rich in love and mercy (v4), Gave us Life! & saved us by Grace (v5)!
Whatever our circumstances, troubles, sorrows, griefs, and fears,
To all these, my friends, the answer is, “Yes, these trials are real, painful, and seemingly endless… BUT GOD!”
This same thought occurs in John 16:33 (NLT) I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But [But God] take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
Father God, help us to remember that although we do have troubles in this world, and sometimes feel alone, defeated, or afraid… our circumstances may be dire… BUT GOD! You are still, You have been, and You always will be …Greater than all things! We trust in You alone.
