His Great Mercy

Today’s Encouragement is 1 Peter 1:3 (NLT) All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation…

His Great Mercy –

I hope that simply reading this verse reignites the fire of faith and expectation within your soul…

As our faith, our relationship with God grows, so does our identity in Christ. This identity is a deep, multi-faceted Truth that becomes deeper, wider, stronger, and longer in our limited human understanding, as our faith grows in great expectation of what He has for us.

The longer, and more closely we walk with God, listening and hearing, asking and obeying, (which we can only do imperfectly), the greater our understanding of the Truth grows – what He has done for us, of our identity as His New Creations, reborn as His own adopted sons and daughters. And also our expectations… of what God will do with us and for us in the future!

We do play a role in this growth process, and it is a vital one, that of acceptance and of seeking.  But God Himself is our teacher, leader, and the overseer of our growth.  It’s His plan after all.

It is His Great Mercy that we are saved, brought into His family, and born again.

Thank You, Father, for Your Great Mercy, for Your plans to save us, recreate us, and grow us into Your sons and daughters.

Your Mercy
