Today’s Encouragement is Hebrews 7:24-25 NLT But because Jesus lives forever, his priesthood lasts forever. Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
Forever To Intercede –
Jesus has already fulfilled, completed, finished – everything! The old covenant: He replaced with the new. The Law: he fulfilled. The sacrifice: He perfected. Our just punishment for sin: He bore and perfectly paid for.
“It is Finished!” (John 19:30) These final words on the cross, declared with all His Absolute Authority… “I Have Done It All!”
Now, Today, He Lives! And what does He do? Why does He now live forever? ‘To intercede with God’ for all who trust Him for their salvation!
When we ‘come to God through Jesus’, that is, when we accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord… then Jesus intercedes, mediates, speaks on our behalf, and represents us before God.
And is it possible my friends? That Jesus, looking at you and me, says to God the Father, “Dad, this one is mine!”
Lord God, thank You for Jesus, who saves us, and who lives forever to speak to You – for us, interceding – for us. We place all our Hope In Jesus.
