Today’s Encouragement is 2 Peter 1:3 NLT By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence.
Everything We Need –
“But,” we say, “I don’t have enough faith!” “I don’t know the Bible very well!” “I get nervous talking to people about God!” We have lots of excuses, and we truly ’feel’ inadequate to be used by God for anything other than, maybe timidly inviting someone to church.
Philippians 4:19 NLT And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
These aren’t my words but God’s words for each of His dearly loved people!
Want to argue with Him? “I don’t have enough money, success, love, or friendship, my car is too old, or my house is too small! I need more!”
Really?
Is His Word untrue?
Has God given us any less than we need for living a godly life?
We may not see it now; we may not feel it now… but our sight and our feelings do not determine God’s Truth!
We have Everything we need!
Father God, open our minds, eyes, and lives to see that we do, already have what we need for living according to Your Ways. Strengthen us to do so Lord! Give us the resolve, the will, and the power to live a godly life! We ask in Jesus’ Name.
