Today’s Encouragement is Revelation 1:13-18 NLT “And standing in the middle of the lampstands was someone like the Son of Man. He was wearing a long robe with a gold sash across his chest. [14] His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And his eyes were like flames of fire. [15] His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice thundered like mighty ocean waves. [16] He held seven stars in his right hand, and a sharp two-edged sword came from his mouth. And his face was like the sun in all its brilliance. [17] When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. [18] I am the living one. I died, but look-I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.”
I AM Alive! –
More than His miraculous birth, His horrific death, more than deliverance of a huge nation from centuries of slavery, more than cleansing of the earth by flood, more even than the Creation event itself. Certainly, more than any war, conquest, the Roman or British Empire, or the formation of the United States.
More, Greater, Infinitely Surpassing these, and all events of the history of man….
The single greatest event. Incomparable to any act of man or by God Himself before or since…
Stands alone… The Resurrection! The Empty Tomb! The Resurrected Christ!
The perfect demonstration, the ultimate revelation of God’s Ultimate Power His Infinite Love, and assurance of Eternal Life!
The Resurrection of Jesus Christ, son of the Living God, is the pinnacle of History, the cornerstone of the Christian Faith, and the strength of our Hope!
I admit, confess, an attitude of, “just another holiday“, (and that sounds even worse when lying before me in black and white…). Yet it’s true.
But upon this reflection, it is crystal clear, that
Nothing.
Else.
Matters!
Death defeated.
Sin conquered.
Hope established.
God become man proven.
Today, you and I can celebrate Resurrection Day with a new appreciation, open eyes and heart to the beauty and majesty of the day and of the Resurrected Jesus. (reread Rev 1:13-18)
Father God, help your sheep, those who follow You, looking to You for our every need, to recognize the incredible Love You’ve shown us through Jesus, especially today, as we remember His Resurrection!
(Normally reserved for His Birth, This great Worship fits The Resurrection just as well!)
“And He shall reign Forever and Ever!!”
Happy Easter my dear friend!
