Today’s Encouragement is Colossians 2:2 NLT “I [Paul] want them [believers] to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself.”
Complete Confidence-
Paul writes to the believers in Colossi, and all believers – in every place, in every era… about his desire that all of us –
1) be encouraged,
2) be knit together by strong ties of love, and
3) to have complete confidence in understanding God’s mysterious plan… which is Jesus Himself.
It is so essential for every believer to be completely confident in God’s plan of salvation through Jesus. That is, Jesus died and rose again in order to demonstrate the rebirth which we have as believers, to show that we are cleansed of all sin, past, present, and future, and that we are all Loved and Accepted by God the Father, because of Jesus.
We can be confident of many things in this life, but only This has eternal value, both for this life and forever.
We may question things, people, and ideas… that’s perfectly normal. But this one thing must be completely settled in our hearts, minds, and souls… God’s Love for us – is made clear through Jesus.
Father God, You can do anything, please help us have Complete Confidence in Jesus and in You. We ask in Jesus’ Name.
