Today’s Encouragement is Joshua 3:17 NLT “Meanwhile, the priests who were carrying the Ark of the LORD’s Covenant stood on dry ground in the middle of the riverbed as the people passed by. They waited there until the whole nation of Israel had crossed the Jordan on dry ground.”
On Dry Ground –
God’s miraculous works are not only amazing, but He also shows His incredible Kindness in the midst of His majestic power.
He not only made the flooding waters of the Jordan River stop flowing, and ‘stand up in a heap’… but He also made the huge muddy, miry, riverbed – dry!
Friends, this is another tiny example of God’s Kindness. It’s mentioned twice just to make sure we ‘catch it’!
He didn’t have to dry the ground for them, they could have slogged through, but dry ground made their passage, while following God’s direction, that much easier! Do you see His Kindness?
When we are focused on obedience, and serving Him sincerely, certainly there will be obstacles, sometimes major challenges in our way… but God… will give us a signal of His blessing, if we look for it… like a dry riverbed to cross.
Father God thank You, for Your incredible Kindness to us. Please open our eyes to see how truly Kind, Good, and Loving You are to us!
