How Deep His Love

Today’s Encouragement is Ephesians 3:18 NLT And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.

How Deep His Love –

He prayed that we would have the power to understand-

How Wide

How Long

How High

How Deep

His Love is.

All these ‘dimensions’ are necessary to try to describe His Love. The Love shown for the entire world at the Cross, describes it. The free gift of Grace provided to every believer describes it.  His patience with all people describes it.

Yet I suggest, my friends, is it possible that… nothing can fully describe, explain, or demonstrate the greatness, the immeasurable nature (width, length, height, and depth) of the Love of God. Is that possible?

Certainly, The Cross, including all of Jesus’ life, His preaching, healing, suffering, death, and resurrection, is the Perfect Example of His love. But the Cross is not the full extent of His Love… because God is Love (1 John 4:8). He exists today and for eternity and is Our Loving Father at this moment, and for eternity.  His Love, demonstrated perfectly at the Cross and by the Life of Jesus… is eternal, it is His very Nature…

Consider this, please.  We humans, have only our human understanding, enlightened by God’s Spirit within us, but even then… we are still limited.  God’ Love is Unlimited.  No human being has the capacity to know God fully and completely, and we also cannot know God’s Love fully and completely!

But one day we will know Him! We will see Him face to face!

Father, thank You for the mystery of Your immeasurable, unlimited Love for us, perfectly demonstrated for eternity through Jesus.  Thank You for loving us.

Healing is in Your Hands
