Today’s Encouragement is Romans 5:17 (NLT) For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.
Live in triumph –
A similar message is taught in Romans 8:37 (ESV) No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
This is a tough concept… We are more than conquerors, and we live in triumph!? Really? Do we?
As with so many truths in God’s word… His Truth is Fixed, Final, and Authoritative… On the other hand, what we experience, what we ‘feel’, what seems ‘logical and reasonable’ to us… can be very different!
So, what are we going to choose to believe? – Your own thoughts, ideas, feelings, and opinions, or God’s Word?
We all struggle with this… our way, our opinions, and our feelings, vs. God’s Truth. It’s not easy, to set our own thinking aside and choose God’s Truth instead… but it is RIGHT! Choose to set aside your own biases, prejudices, and downright misunderstandings… and Trust Him! Trust His Word!
And He says we will live in Triumph over sin and death through Jesus Christ!
Father God, help us to trust You over every other thought or experience.
