Today’s Encouragement is 2 Corinthians 4:16 ESV So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
We do not lose heart –
Losing heart means giving up, being defeated, stopping believing, and even renouncing the faith. I once met a man, who had served as a pastor for 20+ years, who did… He gave up, renounced his faith in Christ, and called the Bible a collection of stories, and fables. He was passionate about his rejection of God but miserable in every aspect of his life, and all those around him were also made miserable by his presence.
He ‘lost heart’.
But not us! By Faith, our inner self is being renewed … daily!
In the same way, that science has discovered that our cells are being renewed constantly, day by day, new life replacing old… our hearts, spirits, and souls are being renewed, reborn, and recreated… daily. By God’s work in our lives! New every morning… Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; [23] they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Friends, we never give up on our God! Not on our Faith, our Hope, our Love for Him, nor on our Gratitude for the free gift of His Grace.
For we are being renewed… by His power… day by day!
Father, we thank You for renewing us, our inner lives, day by day. Thank You also for Your Mercy, new every morning, and that You even provide our daily needs.
