Today’s Encouragement is 2 Corinthians 3:18b NLT And the Lord-who is the Spirit-makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
More Like Him –
His words, not mine…
Examine this with me…
The Lord – this is God’s work, He is doing this, not us…
Who is the Spirit – God’s Spirit which lives in each believer…
Makes us – a process of His creation, God. Makes. Us…
More and more – it is a gradual, growing, and consistent process…
Like Him – a concept difficult to even imagine… that we are becoming, being made by God, to be more and more, like Him!?!? What? How? We don’t have all the answers… but we can accept, by faith, what He has told us in His word…
Hear this again clearly – God is making us more and more like Him…
This is Truth, whether we feel it, experience it, or even believe it…
Our feelings, experiences, and beliefs are not necessary to validate nor deny God’s Truth.
His Truth IS! And, God’s Truth is completely independent of our acceptance.
Father, as always, we are amazed, astounded, astonished by Your kindness to us. Help us to recognize, accept, and embrace the Truth of the transforming power of Your Spirit within our lives.
