Today’s Encouragement is 1 Corinthians 12:31 NLT “So you should earnestly desire the most helpful gifts. But now let me show you a way of life that is best of all.”
Best of all –
He’s writing about spiritual gifts, and there are many, and each has a purpose, a use in God’s plan, and has value. But Paul centers on the Best Way of Life.
Please don’t miss it… this Way, which he’s about to describe, is The Best!
And in a word, it’s ‘Love’! Love as God describes and explains to us. So perfectly and beautifully explained in chapter 13, and it’s best in his words not mine:
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NLT Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud [5] or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. [6] It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. [7] Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
We pervert it, as we sinful people always seem to do… but Gods plan, His design, His Love is perfect.
Father, help us to continually refocus our hearts on Your Best way. The way of Your Love.
