Today’s Encouragement is Galatians 5:22-23a NLT But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness, and self-control.
This kind of fruit –
Notice it is the work of the Holy Spirit, to produce, over time, (fruit takes time to develop) and in the lives of mature believers (fruit does not come from immature trees!)
This is a process my friends:
Gods Spirit…
Working within us to produce…
The mature ripened fruit of these attributes of God…
His Love, His joy, His peace, His patience, His kindness, His goodness, His faithfulness, His gentleness, and His self-control.
From the presence of His Holy Spirit living within us, working within us, to produce… Evidence of His Presence… The Fruits of His Spirit!
Don’t see this fruit in your life? Two possible reasons are: It just hasn’t been enough time. Fruit comes from mature trees, it takes time. Another possibility, The Holy Spirit (the Tree in this analogy) within you isn’t properly acknowledged and nurtured. Trees need sunlight, water, and nutrients from the soil. These are spiritually – our devotion, listening to God, worship, our relationship with Him. Relationships between people (including us and God) can be weak or strong, based on the attention we give that relationship.
It’s God’s work! Yet, we must do our part, which is nurturing our relationship with His Spirit.
Father as You work within us, by Your Holy Spirit, help us to nurture our relationship with You, to accept, to remain willing to be transformed by Your work within us!
