Today’s Encouragement is Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
The Lord will fight for you –
These were Moses’ words to the people of Israel. They had just been miraculously freed from the cruel grip of Egypt by Gods powerful hand through 10 devastating plagues. Each plague affecting only the Egyptians but not Gods chosen people, their Hebrew slaves!
Now Israel was trapped, with the vast Red Sea before them and the furious and powerful Egyptian army behind. Untrained, unwilling, and unprepared for battle they cried out, “we were better off as slaves!” Read this beautiful story of Gods deliverance in Exodus 14.
Lord, please help us remember how You have miraculously stepped in and rescued your people in the past and help us to trust that You will do so again… for each of us! Help us to rest in the peace that – You will fight for us!
