Today’s Encouragement is 1 John 2:14 NLT I have written to you who are God’s children because you know the Father. I have written to you who are mature in the faith because you know Christ, who existed from the beginning. I have written to you who are young in the faith because you are strong. God’s word lives in your hearts, and you have won your battle with the evil one.
Lives in your hearts –
John writes to us, God’s children, both to those who are mature and who are young in the faith… These amazing words… God’s word lives in your hearts… and You have won (already) your battle with the evil one.
Did you hear it? See it? Believe it?
- To the young in the faith:
- God’s Word – living and alive within our hearts!
- Our battle with the evil one – Already won!?
- And to the mature in the faith:
- You know Christ!
My friends, these truths belong to us, are eternal! They cannot be disputed! These are not for ‘some special believers’… but for all of us! All of God’s Children have these blessings! While we may not feel like it, we may not see evidence of it, we might even be skeptical… our attitudes don’t have any effect on God’s promises! His Truth is inviolable!
God’s word lives in your hearts – like seeds growing in the soil, unseen, so God’s word takes root within us, and grows deep roots, and produces fruit in time… and remains.
Father, help us recognize the power of Your word within our hearts, living and alive… and to draw upon Your word for strength and hope and courage for the struggles of the day… for we have already won the battle!
