Today’s Encouragement is Acts 2:46 “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.”
Meet together –
‘Church’ as we know it today can take many different forms. And the form is only a matter of your personal preference and comfort level. Still there are a few essentials. First, that we gather in Jesus’ Name. He is the purpose. Second, that we share ourselves… extend God’s grace, acceptance, and love to the family of believers. Finally, that the Word is present, both the Bible truth and the Spirit of Christ.
With these essentials, we are bound together in a family relationship with brothers and sisters in Christ. It can be messy, even painful, but it can also be joyous.
This is where we learn and grow, where relationship are born and cared for, where the family of God gathers regularly to learn of Him and be with Him.
Lord God, help us to seek and nurture a church home. And to go there regularly to be fed Your word; to share Your love. For there is no substitute.
