You will live again

Today’s Encouragement is Ezekiel 37:14 (NLT) I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live again and return home to your own land. Then you will know that I, the LORD, have spoken, and I have done what I said. Yes, the LORD has spoken!’”

You will live again –

In chapter 37, Ezekiel recounts his amazing experience with God. God brings him to a valley filled with dry bones, symbolic of the spiritual deadness of the nation, they despaired “All hope is gone! (v 11)

But God…

Friends, what can be more devoid of hope than dry bones?  No one would ever give the slightest thought to dry bones ever coming to life… But God…

Ezekiel 37:10 (NLT) So I spoke the message as he commanded me, and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life and stood up on their feet—a great army.

They came to life! God caused the flesh to be restored (v8) and breath to restore their spirits (v9) and DRY BONES began to LIVE AGAIN!

One can argue that this was ‘just a vision’, that’s it’s only symbolic, that it was ancient history… yet my friends, isn’t this what God does in us when we accept Jesus as Savior? Romans 6:11 (NLT) “So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.”

No matter how hopeless our situation may appear at this moment, God isn’t finished with us!  Our Hope is Eternal, for both this life, and the next! We will LIVE AGAIN!

Father, strengthen our Hope, our confidence in Jesus, so that we do not despair, regardless of our circumstances… for we place our trust in You above all else.
