Today’s Encouragement is 1 Corinthians 2:2,5 ESV “For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified… [5] so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”
Nothing except-
There are so many things we can “know” and learn about, so much wisdom to explore, so many different options we can seek after.
Externally focused – History, Hobbies, Politics, Culture wars, technology…
Self-focused – social standing, social media, our careers, our image, our families, our church activities…
We have numerous options, but what really matters? What remains? What has lasting value for us as individuals, and for others? What has significance?
We may seek many solutions to this question, yet the Truth is – only one thing matters… only one thing transforms, only one thing holds hope for us and mankind…
Jesus Christ and Him crucified-
Help us to focus our lives, our learning, our hearts and minds on knowing You Lord God, our Savior Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit – ever present within us! Thank you for saving us!
