Today’s Encouragement is Genesis 22:8 ESV Abraham said, “God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they went both of them together.
God will provide –
Abraham had been asked by God in v2, to give up his son as an offering to the Lord. At no other time before or since, has God asked for a human sacrifice! It’s unthinkable that He ever would… yet He did! And Abraham in broken hearted obedience… did so…
But God! At just the right moment, v12, He [God] said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”

God provided a Sacrifice
Abraham rejoiced and took his son home.
When we obey God’s call, however small or great it may seem… God provides! We don’t know the outcome… it is by Faith that we obey… but we choose to trust His heart! And we trust that He will always provide!
Father, we choose to trust You, that You will provide everything we need. Help us to surrender to You everything… everything we love, all we hope in… just as Abraham did.
