Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation- so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?
My salvation –
At times we just need to have a little talk with ourselves.
Hear David as he speaks God’s wisdom, protection, and blessing to… himself!
Why am I afraid, why am I trembling? The Lord is MY light, MY salvation, and My fortress… Self! You have nothing to fear!
We all sometimes get overrun by emotions, external circumstances, dangers, and well, just life… and we lose sight of The Eternal Truth… Life happens, bad things, good things, accidents, blessings… all are a part of this earthly life… The Eternal Truth is God IS! God Loves YOU! And We can be forgiven and restored to a right relationship with God, by faith in Jesus Christ as the One who Saves us! That’s Truth, and Forever Truth!
And it is Jesus who is the Light, our Salvation, our Fortress, our help!
So why should we be afraid or tremble…. Well, we have no other option when we take our eyes off Him… we’re stumbling, bumbling, flopping around like a just landed fish on the deck of our boat… without Him… we are nothing!
But my friends – He is our Salvation!
Lord Jesus, help us to return to Your Truth daily, to remember that You are For us! And You alone are all we need!
