Today’s Encouragement is 2 Chronicles 33:13 NLT And when he prayed, the LORD listened to him and was moved by his request. So the LORD brought Manasseh back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh finally realized that the LORD alone is God!
And when he prayed –
Manasseh was an evil king! He did terrible things, insulting to God and His Temple! He even burned his own son as a sacrifice to idols! He led the people to worship false gods. Although God warned him and the people, they wouldn’t listen to Gods warning and then suffered terribly at the hand of a ruthless conquering nation…
But-
During this time of suffering, Manasseh, the evil, hard-hearted king who had committed terrible sins… prayed.
He recognized his sin in his suffering and turned to God for help… “And when he prayed…” The Lord listened! God restored him and his people to their homeland! “Then Manasseh finally realized that the Lord alone is God!”
Father, we thank you humbly for your great mercy, and Your grace that is undeserved, because just like Manasseh, we have sinned greatly, and even turned away from you at times. Help us to continually turn to You in prayer! Thank You Father, for your unlimited, undeserved Grace and Love and Mercy!
