Today’s Encouragement is Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT) 6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
God’s Peace –
God’s Peace is beyond our comprehension, it’s supernatural (beyond the natural world) and it is not rational nor logical to our human minds. As when we say, “How can you be calm at a moment like this?” This Peace is only possible when it is beyond our own abilities, and only God’s Peace has the power to guard in our hearts and minds while the world around us is in chaos.
Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He said in John 14:27 (NLT) “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
Take a moment, right now, and “don’t be troubled or afraid”, let go of fear, instead, embrace the Peace of Christ… Peace beyond human understanding…
Silence the noise around you. Close your eyes and consider that: He has saved you, He has prepared an eternal home for you, He knows your name, every aspect of your life, He loves you and will provide for you always. Be at Peace, experience His Peace for this one moment. Still your soul, regardless of the circumstances surrounding you. Recognize that because of the finished work of Jesus Christ, It is Well with Your Soul.
Father God, Help us to rest in Your Perfect, Divine Peace – this moment, this day. Regardless of the chaos, confusion, or clamoring around us… we look to You for Your Peace!
It is Well
