Today’s Encouragement is 2 Corinthians 5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
We are ambassadors –
We each have our own sphere of influence. Most of us aren’t called to change the world, BUT there still is a group of people over which we each have some measure of influence… one person or many, we are Christ’s ambassador to them.
Now friends, we can be either a good, effective, and honorable ambassador, by sharing God’s love with them, (if necessary, use words)… Or we can be poor ambassadors, either by being ashamed of the gospel, or worse, by our sin, bringing shame to His Name. We get to choose.
Recognize that we are, already, His ambassadors, and whether we do that job well or poorly, we cannot escape that we do represent Him to this world! And we represent Him well when we simply Love others as He loves us!
Lord God, help us to be good Ambassadors, representing You and Your love to the world around us, to the people You’ve placed in our sphere of influence. Equip us, and speak Your Love through us, we ask in Jesus’ Name.
