Today’s Encouragement is Romans 5:20 NLT God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.
Grace became more abundant-
Read it again with me, “But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.”
God’s Grace is unlimited! Of course, everything about Him is unlimited!
Yet with our human (limited) perspective we often think-God is eventually going to- ‘run out of patience’ with us. Similar thoughts we may have are: ‘God is disappointed with me’, or ‘He is tired of hearing my prayers’, or similar thoughts… which all share the same error – that error being, we think that God is like us… human and limited in His patience and compassion and His grace.
Friends we are limited in so many ways; He is not. He isn’t limited in Time, in Power, in Wisdom, in Patience nor in Grace.
Because of His Love – which is far beyond our understanding – He extends Grace, Mercy and Forgiveness in abundance!
Remember Jesus said in His last words before death… “It is Finished!”? The purchase of our forgiveness, the Grace of God forever for all who believe, that purchase was fully paid for! The finished work of Jesus, perfectly and forever, is the Grace of God for His children!
And His Grace is Abundant …
