Today’s Encouragement is Revelation 15:2b-3a NLT Revelation 15:2-3 ESV “… standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. [3] And they sing …”
Harps of God –
My friends, we all, too often, become overburdened by the reality of this life, our problems, needs, illnesses, the suffering of those we love… it is easy to become discouraged at times. May I suggest a refreshing break for your soul… a short visit to the Throne of God –
The harps of God! As a music lover, (a passion I recognize is not shared by everyone) I am continuously amazed by the truth that God’s Presence is continually surrounded, engulfed, and permeated by worship music. “Holy, Holy, Holy!” sing all the angels, and even other creatures she can’t conceive of… a never-ceasing, glorious praise from countless voices, from every nation, tribe, and tongue, accompanied by every known and yet to be known musical instrument, like the harps of God – in unlimited scales, octaves, and registers, far beyond what we have ever heard, our ears can even detect, or our minds imagine.
Consider the greatness of Handel’s Messiah, Beethoven’s ‘Ode to Joy’, and similar masterpieces created by man… and yet, all these fall woefully short when compared to the ceaseless, eternal worship of Heaven.
From today’s song, “Hear heavens voices sing, their thunderous anthem rings,
Through emerald courts and sapphire skies… their praises rise!”
As you listen, and worship along with this anthem of Praise to the One who sits on the Throne and reigns forevermore… imagine yourself there now, one voice of millions… in perfect song… before His throne!
What Glory!
There is a higher Throne
