Today’s Encouragement is 1 Corinthians 3:16 ESV Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?
You are God’s temple-
Pretty clear, huh? There is now no external, physical Temple of God which we are to ‘go to’ in order to meet God or to hear His voice… because He lives within us! The church you attend (hopefully) is not God’s temple. No, You are that Temple!
Sadly, many deny this truth, minimizing the significance of His Spirit dwelling in our lives… and within those lives His Spirit certainly lies dormant, awaiting a day of surrender, an opportunity of clarity, for this person to ‘come to himself’ as the prodigal did (Luke 15:17), and to realize that…
God is WITH me (Immanuel), He is FOR me! He will never leave me nor forsake me! He is my Strength, my Protector, my Ever-present help! He is all I ever need, and He lives within me!
God’s Spirit dwells, lives, remains, works, acts, and speaks… within you!
We can ignore Him and die… or we can listen, sense, follow, and obey Him! The choice is always ours. The results of the choice… is life or death!
