Today’s Encouragement is 2 Corinthians 1:11 NLT And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.
So many prayers-
We can only do so much my friends. Our own time, skills and resources are limited. We have friends in another country which is war torn, they are in danger of being killed and live under the constant treat of death. – All we can do is pray.
Another friend has terminal cancer, he’s on hospice care and awaiting his death, there is nothing anyone can do for him. – All we can do is pray.
Whatever the need, the situation, the circumstances… we often don’t have a single option of something physical which we can do to help others in need. It’s so frustrating we feel, to see the need, to want to ‘do something’ to help and yet… we can’t!
May I suggest a change in language and attitude. For us as believers, our greatest gift, blessing, assistance, demonstration of Love.. is Prayer!
Friends it isn’t ‘All I can do is pray’, or ‘The least that I can do is pray’… No! it is the Greatest, the Best, the most Loving, the Wisest thing we can do!
When we pray for the needs of others… we’re asking God in His Wisdom and Omnipotence (unlimited power) to do for others what He knows is the absolute best! What better gift could we give?
Father thank You for the gift of prayer! That we can come at any time, ask You about any thing, and rest in complete assurance that You hear, You love, You choose, that You will graciously answer ‘so many prayers.’
All I can do is pray

SO TRUE! Thank you again, Rick…
