Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 123:1-2 NLT I lift my eyes to you, O God, enthroned in heaven. [2] We keep looking to the LORD our God for his mercy, just as servants keep their eyes on their master, as a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal.
Keep looking –
Eyes on the master, watching, waiting, keep looking… patience is implied, calmly but actively waiting for God to act, to speak, to direct us. He is our Master, Lord, and King and we are privileged to serve Him.
So, we watch Him, with spiritual eyes, we see Him through eyes of faith, and we respond to Him as He directs us. He directs us in unlimited ways, remember He is The Creator, but His direction is always consistent with His word, our guide and measuring stick for all truth.
So, we keep looking to You, Lord! For Your Mercy, for Your direction, “this is the way you should go” Is 30:21, for our every need, every day, every breath. You alone are Life. Help us keep looking to You alone Lord.
