Today’s Encouragement is 1 Thessalonians 3:12 NLT And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows.
May the Lord make –
Friends, it is Him! He makes; He creates! He does a work in us! He transforms, He recreates, He brings rebirth, renewal, regeneration to our hearts, minds, spirits… to our entire lives.
Read the passage again… this is a prayer that God will make this happen! God alone can make – our love grow for others! We cannot! He is the Source of Love.
But we are truthfully only selfish, weak, sin-filled people… and because we are this way, God made a New way! Through faith in Jesus, we are reborn and now can live a life of Love – for God and for others, made possible only by His power living within us, His Love flowing through us. “May the Lord make your love…grow and overflow.”
Father God our desire is to be Yours, to live daily in Your ways, and You alone can enable us to live so. We ask Lord that Your Love – from, and through You, would grow in us, fill us, and overflow our lives, to You and to others. We ask in Jesus’ Name.
