Today’s Encouragement is Colossians 1:9-12 NLT “So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. [10] Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. [11] We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, [12] always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.”
Have not stopped praying-
For complete knowledge, wisdom, and understanding…
To live to honor and please God
To produce good fruit
To learn to know God better
To be strengthened with His power
To have endurance and patience
To be filled with Joy!
Always thanking Him!
Because (v12) He has enabled us… to do all these things and to share in the inheritance, and to live in the light!
My friends, this prayer is for you and me also. And we are invited to live in this way, honoring God, pleasing Him, producing every kind of good fruit… growing in our knowledge of God!… and more! This blessed life is available to us, it is not a fantasy, “someday I wish that…”, No! It is ours, now, today! Live in the light!
Lord God, open our hearts and lives to the blessed inheritance you have Already provided us… to live in the Light!
