Today’s Encouragement is Romans 8:15 So, you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”
His own children –
God’s love for us, our Relationship with Him, doesn’t change with our feelings, emotions, or life circumstances. The truth is we are chosen by Him, adopted as His sons and daughters, and as brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ. We have such a close relationship with God our Father, that we can call Him Dad!
And all relationships need to be nurtured. How? At least with time, communication, and attitude. Are we spending time with God, communicating with Him (reading the bible to listen to Him, praying to speak with Him) and what is our attitude toward Him? Are we trusting – or doubting His love for us? Remember there is no condemnation from God towards us, so no guilt or shame is appropriate here, only recognition that He is available and waiting on us.
Consider that our Dad, Father God, loves you immeasurably; He is always, always, always waiting with open loving arms for us to turn to Him. He never has and never will turn away from us!
We may turn away, but He never will!
Father God, please give us the courage to turn to You, to spend time communicating with you, in an attitude of confident trust that You are always our Loving and Perfect Dad.
I’ve always loved you
