Today’s Encouragement is 2 Corinthians 1:10 NLT And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.
He did and He will –
What a clear revelation of one of the purposes of our Bible!
Of course, the reason for the book we call the Bible, is Jesus! He is revealed throughout the OT in prophecy and in the examples of the leadership of God’s chosen men, Moses, Joshua, and many others.
Yet here we see a second purpose, assurance to us that God has done great things, for His people, and throughout His people… and He will again do great things for and through His people!
Our understanding of what those great things might be is often limited, or even obscured by our own thoughts… but God isn’t limited by our misunderstandings! His purpose remains and will be fulfilled!
He has rescued us, and He will rescue us again! He has done great things for, in, and through His people, and He will Do It Again!
Father, grant us patient hearts, faith-filled hearts, confident hearts as we wait for You to rescue us from our difficulties of this day. You have delivered us from death into Life through Christ, help us to be confident that You will continue to deliver us from the trials of this life… through our Faith in Him! We pray in Jesus’ Name.
