Pray about Everything

Today’s Encouragement is Philippians 4:6-7 NLT Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. [7] Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Instead, pray about everything –

Can you see the choice being made here? Turning away from Worry to Prayer. From our world to His, from our problems, fears, our self-focus… to Him and His power, to His ways, and to His Truth! It is so clear, so simple! Yet, breaking the old patterns, habits, even addiction to fear, worry, and anxiety is far from easy… still, the Truth is simple.

Focus on God’s power, pray about Everything! Let God handle it!

We sometimes think we shouldn’t pray for this or that, we shouldn’t ‘bother God’ with this or that, we want to ‘pray correctly’ so that our prayers will be answered. My friends, God loves you and He wants to hear your heart. He’s our loving Father, a Good, Good Father, perfect in every way, and He hears what we’re praying with that Loving Heart… as through the filter of Jesus, He ‘sifts’ our prayers to comply with His will, purifying the focus of our prayer to be consistent with His Will.

In Everything my friends, every situation, every tragedy, every fear, and every worry… In Everything, our answer, our response, our plan, our best choice is Prayer! Take Everything to Him! The blessings which await us when we turn from worry to prayer are pretty unbelievable!

Lord, help us to let go of all our worries, fears, anxieties and turn to You in prayer, to surrender our burdens through prayer to you.

I get on my knees
