God’s Peace

Today’s Encouragement is Philippians 4:6-7 NLT Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. [7] Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

God’s Peace –

We’ll focus on this powerful, encouraging, hope-filled, promise-filled passage for the next several days. It’s a great one to memorize; it provides wisdom and guidance as to how to stop worrying, how to pray, and how to have God’s Peace! It’s a how-to verse for dealing with the stress of this life, our chronic propensity to worry, fret, and obsess. I’ve been ‘an expert’ on worry most of my life, but I’m finally gaining some freedom, and this passage is the key to that freedom!

Psalms 119:11 “I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” When we hide the Word of God in our hearts (through memorizing and thinking about it, we have strength to resist Sin!

So, read and re-read this passage in Philippians, break it down into bite-sized phrases to help you remember and hide it in your heart.

Don’t worry about anything;
instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need,
and thank him for all he has done.
Then you will experience God’s peace,
which exceeds anything we can understand.
His peace will guard your hearts and minds
as you live in Christ Jesus.

Father help us to hide Your word in our hearts, beginning with this passage, and please Lord, fill us with Your perfect Peace as we strive to apply the truths of this passage to our lives!
