Believe and declare

Today’s Encouragement is Romans 10:10 NLT For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.

Believe and declare-

It’s clear, it’s simple, it’s possible for anyone who is willing, it’s available, it’s free, it’s “almost too easy” we’re tempted to think. We are saved by simply believing and declaring.

Salvation is often referred to as rebirth, we die to our old life and are reborn as new creations. Jesus said we must be born again (John 3:3) and Paul says if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation (2 Cor 5:17).

Now just consider this for a moment. We are born again, new creations, ok, right… so what do newborns do? What do they know? What do they need? They can’t do much of anything!  They don’t know anything, and they need to be fed, changed, cared for intensely! My friends we begin our Christian life by salvation… it is the beginning point. It’s real and it’s sure, yet it is not fully matured. We can begin to grow as Christians in our relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Spirit! This growing and maturing is our lifelong blessing, obligation, and privilege!

Galatians 5:22-23a NLT ”But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness, and self-control.”

Mature plants produce fruit; immature plants don’t! These fruits are the clear marks of a mature Christian, someone who has experienced a growing, vibrant, sincere relationship with God! They are spiritually mature!

Salvation is the essential beginning of a Christian life, but my friends, it is far from the end of this wonderful journey! Don’t miss the rest of this blessing by stopping at salvation!
