Today’s Encouragement is Romans 8:28,32,37 ESV [28] And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. [32] He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? [37] No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
All things –
We might miss a key point here. Let’s consider the term ‘all things.’ It’s mentioned in each of these remarkable and powerful verses in Romans 8, which is one of the most glorious chapters of the entire Bible. This chapter defines our life in the Holy Spirit, our status as God’s children, the future Glory we shall know in that day and finally Gods everlasting love! Truly a wonderful, powerful chapter.
And “all things” – the original Greek term is “pas” and it means all things, everything, the whole, whoever, whatever.
28 God works all things – everything, the whole, whoever, whatever… for our Good!
32 God gave us Christ – so wouldn’t He also, because He is full of Grace, give us all things – everything, the whole, whoever, whatever!
37 We are more than conquerors, overwhelmingly victorious in all things – everything, the whole, whoever, whatever!
God’s word often repeats key truths, ideas, concepts, and promises in order to plant these seeds deeply within our spirits, hearts and minds, to assure us of His intended message.
And so beautifully here, “All Things” is used to plant deeply these truths within us.
Lord, we thank You for emphasizing, repeating, patiently teaching, and guiding us to know You more, to know Your Truth and Your Love. You are so very patient and good to us.
All Things (this is so good!)
