Today’s Encouragement is Romans 8:33-34 NLT “Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one-for God himself has given us right standing with himself. [34] Who then will condemn us? No one-for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.”
No accusation, no condemnation-
Who could dare to accuse or condemn us? No one – because we have been, we are now, we ever will be – His chosen ones!
Friends, we are not the teacher’s pet, spoiled brat, type of “chosen” ones. These are tainted by the immature, selfish needs of their teachers and parents.
Rather my friends… we are the highly favored and deeply loved children of the Most High God, the all-wise one, the creator, all powerful and All in All! No words can describe Him! And we are selected by Him! And Christ Himself has bought our eternal lives for Himself!
Now in earthly terms, some other child or adult would be very foolish to accuse the teacher’s pet, or the spoiled brat of something… everyone clearly recognizes they ‘can do no wrong’ in the eyes of their protector.
In the same way, but to an infinitely greater degree, and in complete purity and holiness, without any hint of self-serving… Our Father sees us with eyes of Love, with Mercy and compassion and favor, and as cleansed completely by the blood sacrifice of Jesus our Lord! And this my friends, is the right-standing (v33) the righteousness, which “God Himself has given us”!
Thank You Father for giving us right standing with You! Thank You Jesus for dying and rising for us and pleading for us! Thank You our God that no one can accuse nor condemn us because – we are Yours!
