The Holy Spirit prays for us

Today’s Encouragement is Romans 8:26-27 NLT And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. [27] And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.

The Holy Spirit prays for us –

Like me, you might need to re-read this verse…. We all appreciate when someone prays for us, along with us, for our needs, for healing in sickness, for peace in grief, for God’s blessings we seek… How much more my friends, are we blessed when the Holy Spirit of God, who Himself resides, dwells, makes His home in our lives, THIS Holy Spirit, God’s Spirit – is praying for us!

Remember the precious prayer for all believers which Jesus prayed? It was close to the end of His earthly life, John 17:20-21 NLT “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. [21] I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one-as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.”

So my friends, Jesus has prayed for us, and the Holy Spirit is now, still, actively praying for us… and according to, “in harmony with God’s own will”!

What should we fear? What can stand against us? We are more than conquerors… we have God’s Spirit living within us and praying for us!

Thank You Father for the incredible blessings You have already given us! Awaken us to Your blessings Lord, especially to the presence of Your Holy Spirit residing within us and praying for us! We truly have nothing to dread, nothing to fear, with You, Lord – so near!

Everlasting arms
