Shall never die

Today’s Encouragement is John 11:25-26 ESV Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, [26] and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Shall never die-

We need to change our terminology friends. Jesus said, you will never die, yet we consistently say, “My friend is dead” or “He has passed away”, a politeness for death.

Do we truly believe the words of Christ? Was He right about most things but not quite correct on this? Of course, we believe that Jesus always was, and always is, The Truth. Then why do we speak the opposite of what Jesus reveals to us, as if it were true?

Those who believe in Jesus, are alive eternally. We will all cease to breathe on this earth, but our next breath, our next heartbeat, our next nanosecond of thought… is with Him, in eternity, in Paradise. We believe this, it is Truth. And isn’t this the exact opposite of the worlds limited perspective of reality. How can we believe this, and still say, “He is dead”?

As Billy Graham famously said, ‘Some day you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.”

My friend, the end of this life, for the believer, is the most wonderful, beautiful, peaceful, joyful moment, so far… because when we are with Christ, though we do not have words to describe, Life is unimaginably greater than this earthly life.
