Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 95:6-7a ESV “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker! [7] For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.”
Let us worship-
This isn’t a command to attend church! My friends this is an invitation to be in God’s presence! At any time in any place we are invited, encouraged, counseled… to come into the Presence of our Lord, to bow down before His Glory and Majesty, to acknowledge His Sovereignty over us and over all that is and ever will be. We will worship and bow down to no other! But to Our God, Father, Savior, Master…and Friend… to Him alone… Yes, of course, we will both bow down and worship Him!
This invitation is to come before the One God who Loves us more than we can possibly ask or imagine. God so Loved that He gave up His Son (John 3:16). Nothing can separate us from God’s Love (Rom 8:39). And before this Love… for God IS Love (1 John 4:8) we are invited to worship, to bow, to humble our own pride before His Infinite Majesty.
Because we are His people of His pasture, we live in and under His care, we are as sheep tenderly cared for by His Own Hand. His very Hand sees to our needs and care.
Such a Father, perfect in every way! This is Our God! We will come to You Lord! We will Worship You alone. We will bow down before You!
Help us Lord to lay aside our pride and kneel, both physically and spiritually, to You alone, to Your care and provision for us. For You are our God!
