Today’s Encouragement is Luke 4:20 NLT “He [Jesus] rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant, and sat down. All eyes in the synagogue looked at him intently.”
Looked at him intently –
True confession, our little yorkie prompted this thought. She was never more alert, her ears were perked up, she stood perfectly still, and focused intently on… My wife Janet preparing her food! Waiting expectantly in rapt attention. Every day.
My friends, couldn’t we be so focused? Looking intently to Our Lord, in eager anticipation, hanging on His every word. Could we be so focused on Him? On His Word, on His worship? Just for a few minutes each week, even every day? Could we be hungrily attentive, looking to Him intently, to be fed by His hand?
Our little dog was this way every day for the one who is feeding her.
Lord grant us an intensity of focus on You, on Your Word. You have the Words of Life, our daily food; You are the nourishment we need!
