At His feet

Today’s Encouragement is Luke 10:39 NLT Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught.

At His feet –

The New Testament is full of this phrase, “at His feet”. Maybe some will come to your mind.  It conveys a physical display of the true internal and spiritual relationship.  I below You.  You above me. I worship at Your feet.  I am humbled in Your Presence.

Friends, we are not required to physically be on our knees before Him, there is no such command, but it truly is a genuine spiritual response to the Wisdom, Holiness, and Awesome Power of our Lord.  Revelation 1:17 NLT “When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, ‘Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last.’”

Now notice His response, as we bow in humility, in awe and wonder at His Majesty, He extends His nail-scarred hand and comforts, reassures, and restores us to relationship with Him.  “I have called you friend.” John 16:15.

Father help us to sit at Your feet, to fall to our knees, to look up to You, to revere, respect, and worship You.  Grant us ears to hear, eyes to see and hearts to experience the majesty of Your Presence.

I’ll worship only at the feet of Jesus
