Today’s Encouragement is 1 Timothy 1:19 NLT “Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.”
Cling to your faith-
We desperately need to cling to our faith in Jesus. It is in Him alone that our hope is found, our sins erased, and our salvation purchased.
If we don’t cling, we will begin to drift away. Like a shipwreck survivor clinging to the floating debris, we will soon perish unless we cling to something that will last. Clinging implies a recognized desperation. We are truly desperate for Christ, for His salvation, for His presence, for His wisdom and His grace. Cling to Him.
What are you clinging to my friend, where do you rest your faith? On your spouse, your career, your wealth and savings, your own wisdom? Good luck with all of that! All else will fail you. Except Jesus.
Lord help us cling to You, to Jesus, and to His Cross which signifies His Grace and His Lordship over everything that is.
