Today’s Encouragement is Mark 2:5 NLT “Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, ‘My child, your sins are forgiven.’”
Seeing their faith –
Here is an example of the concept that our faith is made real by our works. James 2:26 NLT “Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works.”
These men brought their paralyzed friend to Jesus. Undaunted by the great crowd around Him, they went up onto the roof and made a hole and lowered their friend down, into His presence. Jesus saw their faith as a result of their bold action. Their actions demonstrated their faith, and their faith led them to take this action.
Notice that the faith which Jesus acknowledged was ‘their faith’, the faith of the four men who carried the paralyzed man to Jesus. It was not only the faith of the man on the mat!
Friends when we obey God’s leading, in whatever way He may choose to lead us (and God is Creator, He is creative in how He leads and speaks to us)… then our Faith becomes proven, real, tangible.
Father give us courage to act upon our faith. To live by faith. To walk by faith.
